A new report put out by Source One today highlights the growing need for increased and enhanced supplier management among Sourcing personnel. The insights report, titled Building the Case for Supplier Relationship Management, reviews the pressing needs many organizations have in working with relationships, defines the SRM process, and provides a detailed roadmap for a successful SRM implementation.

The report was assembled by Brad Carlson, Source One's SRM expert. Carlson directs Source One's supplier management practice, and pulled from his vast experience managing supplier relationships across a variety of industries and categories. "Some companies have an informal supplier management process, but it usually doesn't have the formality and processes needed to drive succes," said Carlson, before continuing "With SRM, a business can benefit from the initial sourcing phase and help suppliers remain proactive and engaged to the organization to drive long-term collaboration, adding to sustainability and profitability."
