The R. Gene Richter Scholarship Program is specifically
designed for undergraduate students who have been identified as the future
leaders of supply chain management. The
program not only provides tuition assistance, but also introduces scholars to
industry leaders who will serve as their mentors.
The program is funded through both the R. Gene and Nancy D.
Richter Foundation and the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), and has had a
total of 86 recipients since it began in 2004.
It is currently the largest national scholarship program in the field of
supply management, and has served as a valuable opportunity to pave the way for
the future of supply chain management.
The 2016 scholars will be recognized during ISM’s annual
supply chain conference, ISM2016; held in Indianapolis May 15-18th. The conference is the premier supply chain
event of the year featuring various keynote speakers, panel sessions, and
networking opportunities to bring together forward-thinking supply chain
professionals. During the event, the
scholars will also be paired with their mentors and have a chance to network
with various supply chain professionals who will be coming to collaborate with
like-minded peers.
Source One Management Services, the sponsor of Exec IN,
an exclusive event being held during the annual conference, is looking forward
to honoring these six scholarship recipients, in addition to taking advantage
of the many educational and networking opportunities the upcoming conference
offers! From keynote speakers including Alan Mullaly, CEO of Ford Motor Company,
to signature sessions focusing on supply management best practices, and new
ways to deal with the future of procurement, ISM2016 is an event that you won’t
want to miss!
