The 2017 Plastics Financial Summit was held from Tuesday to Wednesday in Chicago, welcomed financial professionals for presentations that encourage high-level thinking of financial matters impacting the direction of a plastics operations. The two-day conference featured insights from consultants, investment practitioners, and executives of leading plastics-based companies. Source One Senior Analyst, Matt Chabanon was a featured speaker of a session titled, The New Frontier: Harnessing Indirect Spend to Optimize Manufacturing Operations. Chabanon discussed how effective indirect spend management drives efficiency across the enterprise while offering his suggestions and proven management techniques and tools. He also explained how this can maximize savings opportunities that will effect future financial management success to impact the bottom line in your organization.

Next week, the Source One team will be heading to New York for ISMNY's annual Risk Management conference. While it was postponed due to a snowstorm in March, attendees can guarantee that the schedule will remain as planned and include all the much anticipated highlights. The one-day conference will feature educational sessions, informative sessions and opportunities to network throughout the day. Experts in procurement and supply chain will offer a wide range of expertise on different hot topics and provide their individual insights for attendees to take into consideration. Source One's supply chain, sourcing and procurement experts are anticipating ISM NY's Risk Management event to meet with other industry professionals following the annual international conference at the end of May.
