Recent studies at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona have shown that consuming apple cider vinegar and cheese at bedtime can have positive effect on waking blood sugar of Type 2 diabetics. The research found that the vinegar-cheese combination was helpful in maintaining normal blood sugar levels, especially in the diabetics whose fasting blood sugar was over 130 mg. On the cautionary side, some lady warned that diabetics should not discontinue their medication and start consuming large quantities of vinegar. Diabetics need to do what their doctors tell them! Vinegar offers flavor without calories. You have an option using balsamic vinegar or wine vinegar.
