From day one, they contribute to project work and begin to develop the skills that make for excellence in Supply Management.
Say hello to the interns joining our world-class team this summer.

Before joining Source One, I worked and interned in positions that were heavily focused on customer relations and problem-solving. As a result, I have experience handling upset or angry customers and working efficiently under pressure to solve their problems. These past opportunities allowed me to be in direct contact with our consumers which not only improved my communication skills, but also provided insights that helped to improve the company’s products and services.
Unlike my previous internships, Source One gave me the opportunity to work directly with clients while also allowing me to use my data analysis skills to aid with the spend analysis. It is very exciting to see how the skills I have learned in the classroom can be applied to a real-world situation, and that is one the main qualities about this company that appealed to me. It has only been a few days since I started this internship, yet I am learning something new every day and feel like I have the opportunity to make a real difference. I hope to gain insight about the procurement and consulting industries while improving my data analytic and project management skills to aid me further in my professional career.

Prior to joining Source One, I served as the Public and Media Relations Intern at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins NHL hockey team. I completed the internship during the spring semester of my junior year, so I learned a lot of organizational and time management skills while balancing classes, clubs, athletics, and the internship. I gained an appreciation for the fast-paced environment of working in the sports industry, and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Last summer, I interned for Vor Foods, managing their marketing and public relations efforts. I saw first-hand the amounts of hats a communications professional must wear, and appreciated the wide scale of responsibilities.
Completing my first school year in the BLDR and MBA programs, I was introduced to a variety of areas in the business field, allowing me to see the large scope of the professional world. Interning at Source One will allow me to further my experience in an aspect of business that I find intriguing. I am so thankful for this opportunity and am excited to work with such a welcoming team! I look forward to stepping out of my comfort zone, taking my communication skills to a subject area that I am learning more about each day, preparing me for whatever the future may hold.

Prior to Source One, I worked at Entertainment Cruises as a Guest Services Intern. I was involved in a project that required market research, analyzing data, and utilizing problem-solving skills to present our findings to upper management. Entertainment Cruises was the point where I truly found my passion for business analytics.
I am extremely grateful and excited to join the Source One team. Everyone has been very helpful and welcomed me with open arms from the start. I hope to master the unique sourcing strategy Source One offers and strengthen my analytical skills well enough to become an entry level Business Analyst by the end of the summer. I have no doubt that each one of my co-workers will be there to help me succeed in any way possible. I look forward for what’s to come!

The people here at Source One are extremely kind and helpful which makes the workplace comfortable and I look forward to arriving at work each day. The team building activities that are planned periodically has surely helped to bring the team much closer. Coming from a different country it surely gives me a new experience as my first workplace outside. But my team is really kind and helpful. Also, everything here is well-planned and well thought through so that you can have a seamless learning experience. I am definitely seeking to gain more experience in Business Intelligence and Analytics as well and through the experienced consultants here I definitely want to learn how to take the project from procurement till the end.

Highlights from my coursework include database management
systems, data analytics, and econometrics. I’m interested in the application of
technical skills in roles that have historically been non-technical and in the
new and emerging ways that data is being used to make decisions across
departments and sectors. I’ve developed my skillset beyond the scope of my
classes as a research assistant and as a member of Pitt’s Information Security
and Women in Economics clubs.
I’m an Analyst Intern with Source One for the summer, and
I’ve already gotten hands-on experience in client-facing projects. The
procurement industry is new to me, and, thanks to the supportive team at Source
One, I leave work every day knowing more than I did that morning. I can’t wait
to see what the rest of the summer has in store!
