Source One Shares Its Smarts

Source One continues its efforts to share its experience with those within the industry as well as those entering into it.

We will be delivering a lecture at the University of Rutgers' New Brunswick campus on October 1st, supplementing a graduate-level Supply Chain Operations Analysis class with an hour of discourse on the management strategies and skills needed for modern supply chain management. Our Director of Strategic Sourcing, Lindsey Fandozzi, will be presenting, and advice on navigating inter-departmental chains of command and internal cultures will be part of the class.

For additional encouragement to future Supply Chain professionals, Source One will be attending a meet & greet with the Rutgers Supply Chain program students on September 18th. Our very own Jennifer Ulrich and Diego De la Garza will meet with Rutgers' supply chain students to talk about current and future growth and opportunities within the strategic sourcing and supply chain fields.

These opportunities come as part of a Source One initiative to work more closely with universities throughout the Mid-Atlantic and across the U.S. -- sharing the knowledge we have gained during our more than 21 years in the strategic sourcing field to better equip those students getting ready to enter it and facilitate a more strategic working environment. Our lectures delivered to Universidad La Salle in Mexico City have helped enhance the country's industry sector's understanding and acceptance of strategic sourcing initiatives and greatly enhanced the market for those United States organizations interested in nearshoring.

These speaking and teaching opportunities are complemented by our new YouTube series. Debuting in late August, the videos available at www.youtube.com/getsavings cover a variety of topics relevant to the strategic sourcing, procurement, and supply chain industries. The videos are short but packed with information, offering insight to up-and-coming industry trends and current topics alike. Upcoming videos will discuss the mastering of category management and unique methods practiced within the manufacturing industry.
