Faith increasing in wind supply chainFollowing the economic collapse that left many in the United States and Europe in financial binds, supply chain operations were also left with serious problems to fix.

With the economy improving in the two regions, the wind supply chain has also shown signs of life, which has left the industry with a surplus in turbines. In response to the over supply, supply chains are making sure they become more competitive in quality and price, which has resulted in some component manufacturers collapsing.

“Wind Energy Update is proud to be the primary source of exclusive, industry demanded information surrounding the supply chain” said Carrianne Matta, the vice president of Supply Chain from Wind Energy Update. “As an organization, we understand how to drive both a company’s growth and profits, and we will strive to provide the audience with the targeted material and individuals that they need to achieve them."

According MAKE Consulting, western and Chinese turbine investors have experienced pressure to profit as a result of posting negative margins in 2011, leading many to eliminate lower production assets.
