Diego De la Garza, a Project Analyst and Liaison to Latin American Markets at Source One Management Services, LLC, will speak to the Universidad La Salle’s (ULSA) School of Business in Mexico City, Mexico via a webinar on March 13, 2012. His presentation is one of the professional perspectives that will be given to approximately three-hundred International Business and Finance majors as a part of the “Jornadas de Apoyo Académico,” (roughly translated to “Halfway Journey Workshop Series”) an event for students halfway through their college careers. This week-long series was designed to motivate students to achieve academic and professional success.

“I am excited to share my professional experiences and accomplishments with the business students enrolled at my alma mater. I look forward to answering questions about working for a U.S. Company and identifying how the students can be successful both in Mexico and in the U.S.,” said De la Garza, who was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award by Universidad La Salle in 2011.

Universidad La Salle, founded in 1962, is a private institution of higher education with fifteen campuses in Mexico and is strongly tied with La Salle University in Philadelphia, P.A and several other universities worldwide. The university’s School of Business is regarded as one of the prime educational institutions in the country; with several international accreditations and memberships, the school is formally distinguished as a “University of Excellence” by the Mexican Ministry of Education.

De la Garza, a resident of Philadelphia, is a Project Analyst and Liaison to Latin American Markets for Source One Management Services, LLC, a consultancy based in Willow Grove, PA. As a Project Analyst, he actively helps Source One’s clients in a variety of supply chain activities with a heavy focus on reducing corporations’ costs of procured products and services.

As the Liaison to Latin American Markets, De la Garza has coordinated multiple presentations with Source One regarding the concept and possibilities of “nearshoring,” the recent phenomenon of businesses relocating the acquisition of products closer to the United States. He and executives from Source One have presented to the University of LaSalle, Mexico City’s School of Business as well as multiple universities, businesses, and government officials in Manzanillo, Mexico’s largest port city.

De la Garza holds a B.S. in International Business and Trade from ULSA and an MBA with specializations in Finance and Management from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA.
